why the hell would GM put PE at 8000rpm.....essentially pretending it doesn't exist..... someone help me out on this. cause if that's true, it's constantly trying to keep the afr back, rather than letting it adjust and make power. yet 07's are rated a tiny ass bit higher on the dyno.....wierd.
can we verify the power enrichment figure?

07s have the ss hea...errrr.. exhaust manifold. that explains the +3 hp from the 05s and 06s
hey, OP.. we all wanna hear your reactions after the retune... so get that bitch tuned

I have a question.....The optimum AFR is 12.8:1 if I remember correctly......I see the tuning program has the ability to set fuel in Grams per injector per RPM....my question is, how do you set up your car to run the AFR with this program...?

i did some minor changes today just to make sure it worked but i'd rather not do more until i get a wideband and maybe some dyno time.
changes included:
increased rev limit in all gears from 6500 to 6800
PE delay count decreased from 10 to 0 seconds
PE delay max rpm changed from 8000 to 2000 (i don't think it should matter with the pe delay count at 0 seconds)
PE vs. RPM bumped up to 1.15 (12.8:1 afr) across the board (was 1.12-1.14 from 2000-4000rpm)
Max delta rpm by gear, increased from 1600rpm/sec to 2200rpm/sec
Disabled fault codes P0412 and P0418, relating to SAI system

By reducing the delay count from 10 seconds to 0, this rpm shouldn't be factor, but just in case, I lowered this figure to 2000 rpm
My tuning experience being very limited, I believe that power enrichment settings are what dictates the target afr for WOT. By setting these to 1.15 (which means 14.7:1.15 = 12.78:1), i think the ecm will shoot for about 12.8:1 under WOT operation.

did my first write today, no problems. it takes about 10 minutes to do a full read, and about 3-4 minutes to write.

so you guys get screwed on headers and cams and turbo kits but you've got tuning dammit

...ok, i went out and drove a few miles, with some WOT runs up to 60mph (would've gone faster, but local speed limits are 40-45mph), outside temp display reading 84 degrees F. now, call me crazy, but i think i notice that it pulls a bit harder and revs just a little quicker in the 2500 to 4500 rpm range, especially noticeable in 2nd gear. Of course, the seat-of-the-pants dyno is known to be inaccurate at times.
i can't wait till i clean out my car and get rid of that extra weight in the trunk (FE1 rear springs and shocks, FE5 front struts and springs, SU carb and manifold setup from a volvo, ZZP catless 3" dp w/ 2.5" outlet, JBP cam tools, Comp stage 1 cams, extra laptop, clothes from my last road trip to sac town, piles of empty coffee cups and cigarette packs, and who knows what else, lolz)

OMFG, this is awesome!!!!!
This is where my "stimulus" check is going as soon as get here...........
I am gonna beat my firends ass for not telling me LS2-edit worked on my car.
IonNinja, the fact that noone markets headers for the o8 isnt an issue now that we can tune out the SAI diagnostics!

another question about ls2 edit.. because their site blows big donkey dick.. what do you do for if you want more licenses? and how much is it for more licenses?..
if it's possible to get logging and such for 550 and adding licenses isn't too expensive i might jump on this one..
also is it a vin unlock? or like if i get 2006 2.4 ions would i be able to tune any 06 2.4 ion? thank you in advance.. i'm really happy for you guys this is sweet..

the scanner/datalogger is still in beta, and i haven't checked it out yet to see if it works, but Ken sent me that software free of charge.
As for the website, it may leave something to be desired aesthetically, but since it's a very small company, it makes me feel better seeing a website that looks like it was written in a text editor than a fancy $20k website. These people are software developers, not web designers. And since they have a history of being the first to offer support for certain GM ecms, I think they are good at what they do.
Not sure what you mean about vin unlocking. Like allowing the ecm to be used in another car? I don't know about that.

To the OP, Jperris:
I am not sure if you discovered this on your own yet or not, but the lambda value you used to achieve a PE a/f-r of 12.8:1 is incorrect, in a big way.
A Lambda value of 1.15 is equivalent to an a/f-r of 16.9:1!!!!!!
In order to run a 12.8:1 a/f-r, you need to insert a lambda value of .87
Remember lambda equates to a/f in a linear way. 1=14.7, higher than 1 =higher than 14.7, lower than 1 = lower than 14.7. Low=FAT large=LEAN
Take the a/f you want and divide it by 14.7, this gives you youre lambda: 12.8/14.7= ~.87 14.7/14.7=1
If you need to convert lambda to a/f you MULTIPLY the lambda value by stoich(14.7)
.87*14.7=12.789 1.15*14.7=16.905
If you felt a difference with your current settings, try the proper lambda value!
