I messaged them recently about the e16a and they replied something like, "Not likely to happen."

**** no E16....why the hate?

Geez. I wouldn't mind a tune on the vehicle I get. But I mean I was looking at a pre-06 L61. :/

HPTuners flat out is not interested. It's an oddball ECM and the demand is just not that high. I always wondered why we couldn't get a 2.4 E37 ecm to work in an e16a car, but I've been told that's not possible.

why pay for a new tune if you already have one through trifecta. If vince says it's good to 10PSI, it's good to 10 PSI, he has turboed many ecotecs.

The E16 is pretty old, not a lot of cars use it anymore, especially performance based, so it's not a hot ecm to crack.

The E37 however is being used across the board for GM, and if it weren't the replacement for the E16, the E16 would probably be in development still. The E37 was kind of like the successor if you will.

You guys always have SCT Live and Trifecta though. Only reason you would need HPT is if you were tuning some kind of extreme FI build or something. Trifecta can handle ANY NA build just as good.

E37 is still relatively small market wise, current supported applicationes really are only limited to 2.2, 2.4 and 4.3L.
