aint the point of the short shifter to shorten the throw by adjust where the pivot point is? by shortening the actual shifter by cutting it all u completed in doing is putting yourself(friend) at a dissadvantage b/c now he doesnt have as much length to make the shift, therefore he has to use more streght to shift, b/c he lost leverge...

lol @ the hacksaw short shifter.

to the guy asking which is better....
they are all quality products. I suggest you pick your shifter based on looks and price.
I truely dont think theres gonna be much difference in their function.
they are all gonna feel shorter. they are all gonna feel crisper...
get the one you think will look and feel best to you.

Question: When the car is running and I throw from 1st to 2nd really hard (gotta not do that) it then throws everything out and I can't get into 2nd or 4th (I hear the plastic piece on the cable moving). Does anyone else have that problem? I throw it into 3rd and then everything adjusts itself and I gain my even gears.

If I throw lightly/short like intended, everything works like a charm.
You need to trim more of the black plastic out. Its actually the cables hitting the plastic. Just take some of the panels off and trim it with a dremel or something.
