hasnt been on car long enough, but i did get the voltage for it :p 14.2 idle, 13.9 at 1k, 2, 3k, 4k, 5k, 6k rpm's, this was tested off the (+) in the engine bay and strut bolt (-)...

Did you check the voltage with all the loads on?

Did you test with your high beams on, wipers on high, rear window defroster on, a/c fan on high, radio on?

that wouldnt give you an accurate reading of ur cars electrical system under load. Thats akin to taking ur multimeter and attaching it rite to the positive and negative on ur bat. THe Voltage should be taken from a central point, ideally a 12v tap from the inside fuse box.

Similar to an underdrive pulley, the negatives out weigh the positives.
annnd again, u obviously have not been around cars to much, an underdrive pully is a very good way to rev faster. I think ur the only person who keeps saying u want/expect some HP out of this mod. most of us dont give 2 ***** bout 1 or 2 extra horses, we just want to rev faster and have a lighter rotating assembly...

if u dont want it, dont buy it.

and u talk **** about a strut bar but the fact is that it does make a very small difference and its a freaking bar, what did u think?

modding allot of he time is the small things adding up to a final big picture.

So basically because i have a stereo system in my car, getting the UPD pulley would be a disadvantage?

no, might run a bit weaker at idle but if u have good supporting mods for ur stereo u should be fine

LOL man.. I just had the whole concept explained to me by one of the more respected supporting vendors here. They have lots more experience than I think its safe to say most of us have. Hes bought UDPs before and dyno'd before and after.

Your ONLY going to rev faster in neutral. In my opinion is just one of those mods to extend your online mod list. I will not be purchasing myself but if you do good luck.

"bigger" battery wouldnt really, ur going to want to add a capacitor or some thing of the sort to keep ur amp at 12V. They make a number of products and there are many techniques. i wouldnt cheep out on this part tho.

i personally have a yellow top. VERY thick wire all around (the big 3 grounds), and cap.

and who said ur only going to rev faster in neutral? not all vendors are smarter than some members on here.

parasitic drag is a MAJOR killer of high reving engine. the only way to get power out of our motors is to rev high.

there is a shitload u should do before getting this, but its a good mod if u have done bolt ons. its a good mod in general. even lighter pulley are a great mod.

Well the capacitor aren't really that good. The bigger battery would be more reliable

Well as I said to avoid "vendor bashing" and stirring up issues between vendors I am keep it anoymous. However, I will say he has enough influence on here to more than sway my opinion on these lil toys.

Please elaborate on why you think its going to make the car accelerate faster? Sure I see why it will rev faster when your not involving the tranny, but when it comes to puttin power to the wheels I dont see how it does anything. whats the scoop on jn2s results b4 and after dyno? Did he get anything from it? Just seems to me for the price theres a lot more efficient things to do.

also curious about the power gains? and is it true it only revs faster in neutral like some have said or does it rev faster in gear too?

if its gonna rev faster in neutral its gonna rev faster in gear. its less rotational mass, period. but its not gonna show gains like a lightweight flywheel cuz its only a pound or so lighter but its still a gain

IMO it will make your alternator and AC compressor last longer -- slow their speeds by 10% Instead of the alternator turning ~13K RPM @5K engine RPM it will be closer to ~11.8K RPM.

its a decent upgrade but i think that full bolt ons are a must before investing in something like this. et a tune for only 50 bucks more first
