Yes you can tell the difference, ( I own a 5spd) the difference was more noticeable then the intake, gas milage increased then settled back, I have no regrets and my mechanic said it only took him a little less then an hour to install, for the crank and an hour for alt

im interested in these. How hard is the removal of the old pulleys and installation of the new ones? Also anyone have an idea of how much they will run?

EDIT: The z-spec lightweight crank pulley runs $100

First most of the power gain is coming from weight not size, second i do recomend the lighten alt pully AFTER you get the crank not alone because the diff between the two is minimal the lighten alt pully complements the crank pully. They said they had to take off the alt to put the alt pully on and charged me and hour and a half 65.00 for it. THe crank pully was 45.00 nothing major take off a wheel use the pully tool then pop it out then back in.

I HAVE read good things and bad things aout z-spec so be warned they did me proper but i could have been lucky

I don't suggest going the route of lighter/under drive pullies.

Chances of you damaging the components that the pullies are driving are higher.

But have fun, work on those airbags cobalt kid

Upon my extensive reasearch i found that this is not true.....How ever if you plan on going beast style to lets say 300whp you are probably going to damage something this is because the stock unit is set with its damper to help balance the crank pully.
