Vibration at 90km/hr

I have a 2010 2.2L and when I drive on the highway I begin to feel a vibration at about 80-90km/hr. It's hard to explain but it kind of vibrates three time, pause for a second, vibrates three times, pause for a second.. and so on... it doesn't vibrate with the rotation of the wheels or anything like that so I don't know what it could be. I notice it in the steering wheel.

Also when I brake at higher speeds my steering wheel shakes... rotors??

Oh, and I am lowered on H&R springs, but that's only an inch drop... can't it affecting anything much.

sounds like your brake rotors are warped and you have an unbalanced wheel

57mph is about the speed at which most wheels begin to vibrate so try hovering around that speed. if it doesnt vibrate under the speed but it does while its over or at that speed, than its the wheel. Also, it could be a loose panel that is flapping from the wind so check all the panels on the car. and the braking problem is the rotors.

Thanks guys... seems the general consesus is unbalanced wheels. Anybody know if GM has slotted rotors? I hear slotted rotors are amazing compared to our stock rotors

from what I know, Wheel bearings don't cause a vibration. They make a clicking sound, but I could be wrong

my 2.2 did the same thing, i took it to the dealership (still under warranty at that time) and they fought me over it...i wouldnt take it back without them fixing it and they finally did the rotrs and drums fixed it for a little while then it came back. if your car is still under warranty they will try and blame it on any aftermarket part you have, lol so be ready. have you curbed any of your rims?

Get R1 comcepts rotors and pads, pm them (they're a supporting vendor on here) quality stuff and they won't break the bank.

Your vibs are most likely a bad rotor, bad tire-broken belt or uneven wear, which if its uneven wear an aligentment would be needed to make sure and fix.

Did you get an alignment after you were lowered? Do you have hub caps? (they can vibrate like that if they're loose) Brakes rarely warp, they just get uneven pad material build up from poor break in procedures.
