Anyone noticing hard cold starts with E85? I threw 3 gallons of 93 just to see if it helped with cold starts and it did so im wondering if my plugs are too cold for running E85.

Do you guys think it could be the wiring for the fuel pump? maybe it got too hot and now it's shorting out from the aftermarket pump. I'm thinking this because my battery is dead now but it could be from it not running for a while and when it does run it doesn't run long enough to charge the battery up.

a dead or weak battery can really **** with a car haha...it causes all kinds of weird idling, weird start ups, misfires, etc..

yes the optimas are much better batteries and that may be ur whole issue is the battery. When i had a bad battery with my car running it idled funny and when i hooked up a battery charger on 40 amp the idle smoothed right out and when i would click it off the idle would go rough again.

could it be the ground wire on the injectors. I googled injector control circuit fix and they were talking about the ground wire for the injectors goes to the pcm. maybe I need a new pcm or the ground is bad?

got this email from vince
Sounds like the +12V supply to the injectors has an intermittent problem.
could this be the battery? I'm on flood duty again so I can't really try anything but when I get home i'm gonna get an optima yellow top and see what happens. if that's not it i'm gonna get my alternator tested and see if that's bad

I should be home on the 15th to work on my car again. I'm gonna start by bringing my alternator in to oreillys to have them test it and if it's good i'll probably get a new battery. if that still doesn't work I don't know what to do from there lol

It's rough times for us 2.2s, I'm down and it could be a while. Dissapearing oil, and metal shavings in oil filter yeah.

found out my whole issue was my ecu..swapped back to stock and it still ran like crap. narrowed it down to that problem.

Wow, I'm actually not doing half bad compared to everyone else at the moment... crazy. I'm getting HPTuned and it's so much better than running anything Vince ever did for me. Still can't go WOT yet though we never got around to tuning that before the battery on his laptop died. No misfires yet tho. And I've been hitting upto 19 PSI at half throttle and it feels great!

For me pretty sure bearings are toast from lack of oil. Not positive yet, but think my return from turbo was backed up. Prob have a few quarts in my intercooler.
