don't you have to anyway to ensure that the rings seal properly against the cylinder walls?

Yes, but it's very minute compared to actually boring out the cylinder walls. Especially on stock sleeves which are set to fail at 400whp.

more displacement.if you order pistons with stock sleeves, you dont get an overbore.you just need to hone the cylinders out to get the glaze out.if you sleeve your block and bore it out is when you buy over bored pistons

Wanted your guys opinion...

Running an m62, stock internals... safe to push it to a 2.85? I had planned a 2.9" pulley as that's what others have beeen successful with. Not sure how much of a difference would even be seen.

Ah okay...I'm not very good at math but .020 doesn't seem like it would add very much displacement lol

Oh well ...now I know what to buy

It may not be a lot when you think about it a .020, but it does make quite a difference. Especially in cars as light as ours.

I wanna say a .020 over bore makes it to a 2.3 liter.More displacement equals more air/fuel=more power.Im gonna over sleeve my block/blockguard and stroke it to a 4 liter 4 cylinder lol jk.My buddy has a big block chevy thats 865 cubic inches.Do the math and thats 14.1 liters lol.its a beast.

ugh i just wanna get my car running again. I think I'm gonna change the fuel filter again and see what happens. It ran good for a while when I changed it the first time so maybe it just got clogged again right away?

It will run good for a little bit and then it just shuts off. Vince said the logs look like the fuel supply just disappears but the car doesn't bog at all it shuts off like it would if you turned the key off.

sounds like the pump is shutting off.Its possible the relay is getting hot and shutting itself off.Try swapping with another relay and see if that fixes the problem

alright i'll do that tomorrow. Also, I think i might put the stock manifold on the car. the 2.4 one I got had a different size hole for the map senser and i'm thinking maybe unmetered air is getting in there from how I had to drill it a little bigger to make the sensor fit. It probably isn't getting a good seal. but I will check the fuel rail and relay first.

I had to do the same on mine b4 I was SC.06 LE5 map sensors were smaller. They changed in 07 to the big style like we have.I used a dremel on mine and shaved it then used some black silicone on the side of the seal to ensure there was no leak.Try that but if it were leaking through there,it would either run super lean, miss,or both. Not shut off.hmmm?!?!Try the relay swap.Sounds like either that or maybe the pump is actually getting too hot and shutting off.I dunno,I'm taking an educated guess here.

Would a rewire kit help if it is the pump getting too hot?
