Want torque specs
A couple days ago, i pm'd halfcent asking what the torque specs are for the nut holding the hub to the strut.
He didnt know and told me that as long as its snug in, its fine since the tension from the springs.
But I just want to know the exact torque spec for that nut.

85 lb ft. Thats a bit more than "snug"
I just tsaw the thing about spring tension...do you mean the 2nuts& bolts that hold strut to the knuckle or the 3 bolts that hold wheel bearing to knuckle. Oh whatever, 85lbft is for wheel bearing. Strut nut/bolt is 89lbft.

That's what gm says, but I would torque it about 10-12, cuz I replaced my struts and shocks today and the damn strut bolt snapped, I checked the torque wrench again and it was set right. What BS, now I gotta wait til monday and buy that strut mount and install it. The other strut bolts, I torqued to 11 and they were nice and tight.
