It's probably just air flowing through the flexpipe. Drive it for a few thousand miles and check the gasket, it'll be black if there are any leaks. The steel is also thinner than stock so youre going to hear more noise. Don't mod the car if you want it to be quiet lol

If its hissing when the motor is under load and there are no leaks then its just the air whooshing through the flex section.

went to the shop yesterday and they checked both downpipe gaskets and showed no leak. when i rev in neutral when driving you can hear it come right out the muffler. im not sure if my downpipe is defective or if this is the normal noise the downpipe does. but to me it sounds like **** and is leaning me towards wanting to take it off. maby an lsj downpipe would be a tad better? im going to contact zzp

zzp said this. It's quite normal. You'd have to change other parts of the exhaust to make it change. It's from less back pressure but it just doesnt sound right to me because when im cruising in higher rpms it sounds like complete ****...

when i rev i can hear the intake suck in air. than i hear the noise im talking about
heres a other video. you can kinda hear it when the rpms are at the highest.

it sounds like its something near my intake. but my intake makes the noise it did when i first installed it combined with this new noise thats anoying when im driving. i cant get a clear video when driving no matter how hard i try. if i can get one as clear as it is that i hear when im driving than you guys would be able to hear it alottt better

heres a pic of the flange. what is that black stuff to the righ by/on the gasket. .?

im sure zzp is right. but that might be a leak on your gasket. you could buy a new gasket and retorque the bolts. i also used rtv orange and a gasket right there and let it set overnight to get rid of that noise. i used to think it was a broke flex pipe. now im just learning to get used to it. lol.

yeah well i have no access to a lift on my own time or any of that stuff. also i went to the exhaust shop who did the install they lifted the car revved it in the air and looked at everything and they said there was no leak whatsoever. theres a hole in my SAI tube would that contribute to anything?

well i hear the intake fine. its just this noise i get when driving that is pissing me the hell off.

does anyone thing the hole in my SAI tube is to cause for this noise since their would be air getting in the sai tube than into my header than down my exhaust system
