Well finally got my GMPP Performance Exhaust on!
Got it installed by a buddy for a good price. (I didn't trust myself getting under my car with the shitty jacks I had)
Anyways a couple things about it. I thought it was going to be a bit louder! Its kinda quiet IMO. Sounds great though! Not ricey at all. The ass-dyno doesn't say much, I didn't really notice a big gain in power or acceleration. (does it need a few day to be broken in or something?)
Whatever I'm happy that its on and boy does it sound SEXY!

Cant cpomment on the 2.2. The 2.0 has a light but dyno I would say! Sounds a hell of alot better.
But I wouldnt say a exhaust needs to be "broken in" IMO.....

the biggest noticeable change you'll get from exhaust is sound...other than that, good luck...it'll be all in your head.

Going from a 1.5" exhaust system to a 2.25" exhaust system allows the engine to remove exhaust easier and thus you get a slight HP gain at the wheels because the engine isn't having to push the exhaust out. Works that way on all cars -- NA and FI. If you happen to be beside a stock (unmodded) 2.2 car you will find that your car will out accelerate it easy.
For the best results if you have a 05 or 06 LS/LT you need to upgrade to at least the stock SS exhaust manifold because the 2.2 exhaust manifold has a small "D" shaped exit whereas the SS exhaust manifold exit is 2.25 and round -- more flow capability. I don't know if the 07 2.2 exhaust manifold is better or not.

you aren't going to...exhaust yields very little to no performance difference at all. thats why its important that you don't waste $500+ on an exhaust system. maybe on an FI car but not on a 2.2

i have full header back exhaust and I still say its not worth more than a couple HP. if I were to replace anything in my exhaust system it would be the exhaust manifold. everything else is just for piece of mind...

if you don't think its loud let a friend drive the car by himself down a side street or something and just listen, you will be like 'damn i didn't know my car was that loud!'
