Hey guys. Just wanted some examples of what cars I could beat in a race. I'm a little curious and also don't want to be embarrassed if I find myself in a race I can't win. Maybe list some cars here? I drive a LT.

Its no fun in knowing you will already win...


your only really going to accel in your driving skills if you race someone, who has a faster car...but is a shitty to decent driver.

if your a auto...then.......theres no sense in it since its a mash the peddle and steer.





stock....you can beat quite a bit.....civics, a celica, G5 would be a close race...the new VW bug, jetta might win....a school bus...a dump truck......semi's might take ya with that huge ass turbo, but you'll get him off the line.....


Its AMAZING what a Cold Air Intake will do to your car......look into it.

I heard something that you should get the Dry Flow intakes instead cause the dealers will have less to bitch at. Is the injen intake a dry flow? Can anyone recommend an intake for me thats dry flow?

yeah, just to say the least, the only way to find out is to race someone. if you dont act all stupid, and the guy beats you and has a nice modified car (no matter what) and acts cool about everything (not like the ricer attitude) then stop the person and talk with them. you can build up some good friends that can help you that way.

but now about the intake thing, aem makes a dryflow and ive been told k&n has a synthetic non-oiled filter now. you could buy the injen and get one of the non-oiled filters to put on it. thats probably what im going to do as i wanted a black intake and the injen is very nice. oh and too the fact it can be switched from sai to cai, and some of the streets i have to drive on flood quite bad (having to drive through 1 foot of water in several places to work!!!!).

only way you coulda beat that 95 gt is if it was a auto.. or a really shitty driver cz id take you with my 95 anyday you want lol i just had to say it

- V8's...you can pull early 90's camaros, mustangs, and firebirds of the launch, but they'll beat you 3 seconds later

- you will pull a GSR up until 60ish
- will pull a Si civic un until 70ish
- can keep up w/a K20(170hp) civic hatch
- can remember others, oh yeah the V8's...early mustang can be pulled easily if they're automatic...b/c i raced a 97 gt and stayed 1 car behind the whole time, but he was standard...the box mustang(5.0) can be pulled of the launch)
oh yeah the most important part...i have a06 cobalt ls...mods: short ram intake...

well if it was a 97 auto gt there the slow generation but still i call bs my 98 gt i had before my ion was quicker and its the same car as the 97.. lol please stop and think

i dont know, a scion tc is slow. i have also driven a 99 gsr and its not bad, but definitely fast. id say it win but not by far. and i dont mean i drove the gsr easy. my friend had just bought it and wanted me to drive it. so we took it out and i hammered it all the way to 140mph. man fifth gear in those have no pull what so ever! i was counting off miles till i hit 140mph and i took 4th to redline. very bad wheel hop in it. oh yeah, and the gsr had just recently had the greddy 4-1 header, tanabe exhaust, jr vtec controller, and dc sports short shifter put on it by us.

One more Lexus IS 300, When you shift into second, you can pull away, Just dont miss 3rd and you should be good. Ive beat 3 out of 3 IS 300

i gotta disagree about the tc and 9-3. idk about any of those other cars, but i think between a 2.2 and a tC or 9-3 it is a drivers race. cobalt could definately come out on top if theres a good driver behind the wheel
