i like my dynomax muffler, alot. granted it got a little loud when i took the cat off. i thought it sounded very very deep with the stock cat, and the muffler. and dynomax flows the best

Flowmaster Super 40

Yes, responding to both hatrickstu and NJHK, I installed an SS factory catback and installed the Flowmaster Super 40 with the SS OE tip. It sounds great, not too loud, but you know you got something. Don't go comparing the sound of a Flowmaster on an N/A car to that of one installed on a car running under pressure. The SS OE catback is 2.5" except for the 2.25" over axle section. I paid another member $50 for the catback, $80 for the muffler and $40 to install it. Also, when referring to a Flowmaster or any muffler for that matter, there is usually more than one model, ie Flomaster Original 40, Super 40, Delta 40, 50, 60, 80, etc etc. I have been wondering what the new Super 44 would sound like on my car. Until you've heard a Super 40 on a 2.2L I wouldn't discredit it.

I had a APC fart can on my Cav. It sounded good to me. If it gets to loud turn your music up.

Yea man I am currently running with a cobalt addiction 4-1 header and an xtc downpipe/no cat. Adding these two things to your dc sports catback will make your car so loud.

On my Cavy Z24 I had 2.25" Piping, high flow cat with 28" Cherry bomb as resonator and the dynomax superflow with two 2" tips real close together so it looked stock. The sound was soooo deep and rumbled I had people ask if I had a v6 or the 3800 swap done.

my recommendation is 2.25/2.5" MAX piping, no resonator, through a magnaflow muffler. thats what ive got. sounds good, low, deep idle, loud when provoked. makes the car sound pissed as hell. not ricey at all either...

Does anyone have any sound clips. That would help people decide which one they would like to go with based purely on sound.
