What is the N/A and no spray potential for these?

I don't really need to know HP or TQ, those have been posted but what about 1/4 and 1/8 miles times with street tires, NO spray or F/I. I am having a hard time deciding whether or not to mod the balt (yes, i am on a cobalt site that is why i am asking for times, not opinions on whether or not to modd). So with full bolt ons and an average-good driver what kind of 1/4 and 1/8 mile times/traps can be had with OUT F/I or spray on street tires, thanks.

I'd say if you're a good enough driver (meaning good 60ft times), high 14s

Just with bolt ons? Wow, thats actually not bad. Basically my over all goal is to have a car i can have fun with, and mess with my dad abit (at the track). I have fun with the mustang (his car) and its an 83 mustang GLX vert 5.0 5 speed. It has a couple bolt ons and different rear gears, from what i have read on the mustang forums with the bolt ons and gears it has in it it SHOULD do mid to high 14s in the 1/4 and i have fun in it so that is basically what i am looking for in the balt's potential before i go and dump $$$ into it (with out F/I, spray and with street tires).

well...if you plan on building it for N/A...ive always been curious what some custom 11.5:1 compression pistons, new cams, and a 9kRPM rev limit would bring the balt up to...

Honestly, it's all about how much money you want to spend and how much knowledge you have to do something successful.

There is no limitation with any car, you just have to figure it out.

Not to sound rude at all but if you have to ask this question, you are not ready to do this. I can (and have) looked at other vehicles that I know 0 about and I have a plan on what I want to do because engines are engines and the same theories that work on a ECOTEC, work on any other motor.

I would say keep doing research.

I am not saying build for N/A I am simply trying to see what these do with full bolt ons. Don't you need tuning and such for cams with these cars? I haven't ever messed with the computer controls stuff. In an 83 5.0 there is no computer to reprogram or anything, just install, retune the carb and go have fun (in a nutshell).

yes and no

With a MAF sensor, it is supposed to be able to comphensate for any airflow changes (with in reason).

But I would suggest finding a form of fuel management that would be reliable.
