What oil is good for a 2.2L?

Hi yall,

I have been up here reading, since I am going to change my oil today. What is the best oil for an LS to have? I know we should get 5w-30. Any preferred brands? What is the best brande for my 2.2LS? This may be a noob question, but I should get non-synthetic oil, right? Just checking. Im looking forward to seeing yalls answers!

Its entirely up to you whether you go synthetic or not. Per GM non-syn is fine for an LS.

It's Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic Extended Performance, or GTFO.

The real question is, do you want to keep your car for a long time or not?

If you do, then it has to be synthetic every time. Regular oil is ok, but if you're commuting a long distance then I would recommend a synthetic, mobil 1 is very good.

Whatever you do, don't get Pennzoil... worst oil possible.

Filter is quite important too... NEVER get Fram or we'll have to send the maffia after you. The top filters are Wix, ACDelco, and Napa Gold for our cars.
