well the GMPP Exhaust is 2.25 that i hate. Im thinking about selling it and buying the ARK Exhaust it says its for the 2.0L and 2.4L , but whats the the difference with the 2.2L?

The ark exhaust would definitely fit, but I think the 3 inch would be too big for a 2.2L with your mods. Get a 2.5 all the way back, actually the gmpp wouldn't be bad, but if you want get 2.5 all the way back.

u could take the resonator out for a deeper/louder sound.....and 2.5 is fine....its not "pushing it" because the majority of catbacks for EVERY car are 2.5 even those gay civics so ur cool with 2.5

why does everyone on here say that 3" would be too big??? I have heard all this stuff before about there being a problem with not having back pressure. My '07 colorado 2.9L I4comes stock with a 2.5" exhaust and it only has 185 hp. A guy I talked to was putting full 3" exhaust systems on his 5 cylinder Colorado and for a bunch of other guys including some with the I4 and were seeing good gains in the sound and power.
I would just like to hear a good explanation to why you wouldn't make better/more power with a full 3" header-back system on a small 250hp I4.
And I have heard some say that if you are turbo/supercharged that you should go with a 3", please tell me if there is a difference in the exhaust flow from a 250hp NA engine and a 250hp SC engine. Maybe there is a difference in heat or something, but volume of exhaust - no way.
engines are air-pimps, if they have the same amount of HP they move the same ammount of air.

Still, you're talking about a 250hp car...versus a 130-140whp car. Big difference.

ok thats one of the things I have heard, but what I want to know is WHY your top-end is gone???? I have thought about it, but it doesn't make sense to me.
and you're right, I see the original poster doesn't have many engine/performance mods. so we are sort of talking about two different cars, but you knew what I was talking about.
