If, and I mean IF, they were to drop the LNF motor in the Cobalt I highly doubt that it will be rear wheel drive. That would be alot of converting...But yeah, GM is known for killing off vehicles once they perfect em. In example...95-96 Chevy Impala SS, Typhoon and Syclone, and the Camaro which they are bringing back of course. These are just a few.

Back on topic, I wonder if Ectotec has something to do with...Economy Technology, hence Ecotec. Hmmmm

I suspect the SS/SC will be replaced in 2009 by a DFI Turbo alah next generation Saab 93 and Kappa.
