Do you ever stop to think why do you or others spend money on cars. When you think about it your putting hundreds and thousands of dollars into a new car. Do people do this because its an exspensive hobby, to make your car something its not or maybe even show off in front of your peers. Idk I was at working pondering about this how I can be spending a couple of thousand dollars on a car that will be the equivalent to my friends GTI. So please vent out on what drives you to spend additional money into your vehicle.

I do it for a hobby.. Always loved Cars, Motorcycles ETC... So its always been a Hobby For me...

It's just like any other hobby, only this one costs more. People do it for the personalization as well as to make it faster.

Why do people jack up their trucks and put monster tires on it? That's their thing, even if it's ridiculously expensive and obnoxious imo. As soon as I get this debt paid off, I'm out of the car scene for a while. I agree it's too expensive now days.

no I totally understand...I do it for the mere fact that it's different and ofcourse to eventually be a nice sleeper. But like your saying parts and stuff are exspensive. I only feel like its cobalts. Yeah thats a poor statment but I feel like if I wanted to build a sentra or an eclipse parts would be very easy to find and cheap. And Hi...I live in holbrook lol just incase you care.

its a hobby for me to make the car stand out and to see what i can get outta the engine performance wise on the lil bit of money i have to spend. lol but yea workin on cars and trucks has always been fun for me to do.

for me its an addiction and a huge hobby of mine. taking something completely stock and looking just like everyone elses ride and making it your own. you take pride in know that your car is different and is pretty much a reflection of yourself in your car. so to me spending money on my car is well worth it.

no i dont go to the dp meets, maybe I will sometime. Yeah two days ago I washed the car, vacummed interior, oil change, wipe down engine bay and Idk the rest of the day I was just looking at it like IDK just knowing you actually spend time on your car unlike other people. Some people just let their cat sit in dirt, never do oilchange and the car looks disgusting in 5 years, So I guess what you put in is what you get out

I mod as a hobby...ive put a great deal of money into my car..but in the end its alot cheaper on insurance..and good amount less then buying a SS haha. I still get crap for what ive done for my sedan..oh well.

I.m an ex junkie,lol... I used to spend mad money on dope, so i figure these days i have alot to show for my money, it makes me happy and i never regret it. Although, the cost is somewhat rediculous sometimes, but when you consider the alternative, it's not that big of a deal.... I like anything with **** or tires..., it's an addiction, what can ya do????

You know i've never really questioned it, but it seems like every time i look at a car, truck, bike, whatever I am constantly thinking of ways to make it look or run better. every car or truck i've owned has been modded in some way. Like now I'm balancing out lifting my truck, lowering my car, and doing nerf bars on my quad. it's neverending "Hi my name is john and I have an addiction, **** it!"
