dude... read the thread... he is not saying the car is slow compared to the 2.4 or 2.0's he is saying its slow compared to other 2.2's.
basically it would be like you going onto a chevy forum and wondering why your car is so slow compared to other 2.4's and having a corvette guy chime in and saying "cuz its a 4 cylinder" you're not helping.

well idk maybe its the rims or even the weather but i bought my cobalt a 2005 not even a lt the lowest grade package u can get if uwanna say that on the back of my car it just says cobalt no lt nothing ( but id rather have it liek that) .. automatic .. bought it with 37 k on it already has 52 now still runs so strong .. i only put a air intake on it nothing else and my friend has a pontiac grand am 6 cylinder 3.1 liter and i can take him off the line and in the long run and i can beat pretty much all of my friends cars 4cylinders and even v6's the 3.1 liters at least everythign except there caddilacs lol but i mean even though there the same car u know not evey car will perform exactly the same but .. try getting the rims off and take it in the fall to the track and if ur still getting those times then somethings not right .. or can be the way your driving it who knows could be a few things have u been performign the regular maitence also i mean some people drive there cars and just dont know or just dont care

With the exhaust and intake, you should have about 25 or so more horses.
I was told in a car that weighs 2800, it takes 30 or so horses to shave off 1 second on the 0-60 time. You weigh a little more than that and I don't think you have not gotten to 30 horses yet (could be wrong).
which exhaust and intake would you need for the extra hp?

On the 2.2 an intake will give more like 5whp and a cat-back more like 8-10 whp. I have a full exhaust and CAI, and I put down 140whp which is about 165 to the crank. Thats 20hp over the factory flywheel rating. I'd highly doubt someone can squeeze 30hp/whp? with just an intake and exhaust.
Thanks again for that, lsj. Its great to see you support us 2.2 guys.
