some guy in NJ was looking for a 2.2 balt to tune it with HPT. apparently, the 07 pcm is very close, or the same as ones where tuning is available. i would just wait it out.

the 05's and 06's were suffering from a drop in torque. the 07's run a little different and they were having MUCH better success with the manifold. I made the point the other day that torque was lost at like 3000 rpm, but ultimately you ended up with more and much higher hp numbers in the high end. The way I see it, you aren't going to miss that torque on regular cruising, and when you need to go, you will mash the pedal, down shift and throw the car up to about 4-5k RPM's as the auto's do on acceleration. and at that point you are in the new powerband and back to good torque numbers.

i dont know if i typed that clear... you get what i mean?

if it is that big of a deal to get rid of the plastic one, why not go with a sheet metal manifold like hahn made (IDK if this would affect that silly SRI that the 2.2 guys talk about)

its not getting rid of a plastic one cuz the 2.4's are plastic as well. they are single molded piece (better for adding nitrous later) and are a little larger.

That would really mess with his low end torque because of how much shorter the runners are than the stock one.

For a decent price, not right now. That Hahn one is very expensive and would only benefit you if you went f/i. The runners are way too short for an NA engine that revs only moderately.

i had the 2.5" cobalt addiction downpipe. didn't get any codes from it though. you can take that one off no problem.

one thing i DID notice on the 07 2.2 (this was on a G5,but i think would be the same one the cobalt) is that along with the 2nd cat, there now is a 2nd 02 sensor as well.

the only reason why im thinking them to custom make one is because i dont think i can find a dp that has 2 O2 sensor ports

LOOK ONLINE FOR 07 cobalt.. and it will come with what you need.

lol your car isnt rare its not the only one. they have to make certain parts for the cars.

you have an auto and muffler (not even catback). you also had on 17" wheels that are more than likely heavier than your stock ones. come one man, common sense would have told you this. not to sound like a dick or anything but if you just buy a muffler for looks and sound you shouldn't be going to the track and be worried about your time.

haha, my bad bro. i don't think many people at all know this, so don't feel bad. i only know because when i sold someone my downpipe i was looking at his car and saw it. otherwise i would have had no idea.
