you are correct.

use HPtuners to turn off your rear stock 02sensor and instal a WB02 and connect it to gauge/display and enjoy!

A wideband will read your a/f ratio accurately. You tune according to what your wideband displays. I know my wideband came with an O2 sensor to read the a/f ratio...I don't know about other kits.

or get another O2 sensor, drill a hole in the exhaust system and put an O2 bung up to hold it in place and wire it up.
