winshield fluid use to cool intake
i was reading this somwhere on here the other day and now i can find it anywhere i was just trying to make sure that it is not a false statement to use the windshield lines to spray into the intake to help it cool the air

its called water/methane injection its sprayed into the charger to keep temps cooler.... its possible to use winter washer fluid but not recomended... best thing to do is use methane and add water...

so it is not something i would want to do then, it wouldnt make any gains at all, what if i filled it with like octane booster or something that would add some fuel into there on top of what is going in, would that make any difference, or i could make a cheap nos kit, and put nitrous in there, now thats hillbilly

Some of the people on the Grand Prix site use it on their supercharged Grand Prix's. It helps to lower knock retard (KR) therefore not letting engine pull timing.

It would allow you to run a lot more timing, effectivly increasing 'octane'. It has the added bennifit of cooling inatke temps tremendously as water as a very high heat capacity.
in a 2.2 it would be pintless as you have no way of adding timing advace, and your intake temps are just about ambiant temp anyways (90* maybe). The ss/sc with a small pulley can see intake temps (IAT2) of 180*
