I wonder how many horses this would free up at the wheels ?? For over $500 I hope a decent amount.

There was someone in the classified either on here or ecotec fourms for 275 I thought.

But no not worth 500 unless youre trying to exctract every ounce, and you'd do better with a lightend flywheel and clutch anyways.

jesus! i paid $140 for a set of billet pulleys(crank, alternator, and water pump) on my old mustang gt! that price is insane. with those pulleys i dynoed only 4.3hp more @4,800 rpm so i would say that this is def not worth the $$$.

If you have an amp(s) your alternator will not charge the battery as well.

lol. Why would you run the a/c when you're racing?

Usually an underdrive pulley is a pretty good cheap mod to squeeze out a little extra power to the wheels on most cars. I deffinately wouldn't pay $500 for one. There's gotta be a cheaper one than that floating around. Usually I get just the crank pulley for around $100-150. Then you can get an overdrive pulley for your alternator to keep the stock amperage up if you like. Not really necessary unless you've got subwoofers and such in your car.

you know..it really doesnt matter if you run the A/C while racing. the cobalt's A/C compressor has a clutch on it that turns off the A/C when at WOT anyway, which makes the pulley just an idler

When is it supposed to do that? Because i would swear that getting on the highway it still affects my power even when my foot is down to the floor. Isn't it supposed to do that at anything over 80% throttle?

Eh I still wouldn't use it while I was racing. I mean a/c=comfort, which has no place in real racing
