would this intake setup work?

just thinking here while im bored at work doing data entry haha. if i were to buy a k&n sri, jet performance MAF, 2.4 TB, and a 2.4 intake manifold would i be making much more power? also with just a sri and jet MAF, would i see any benefits? or is the MAF from jet pointless?

i know that with the 2.4 TB you have to have this maf or a tune for the car not to give a CEL. just curious to see if this mod is pointless or not without the 2.4tb

You would see a good gain from the 2.4 mani, TB and SRI alone. Not sure about the JET maf though.

I would say you would be making about an extra 15-20whp with all those combined.

How in the hell do you figure? The 2.4 mani swap has dyno sheets proving an increase of 13whp with gmpp intake and exhaust so I give him 10 for that, about 3-5 for the sri, and with the 2.4 TB and Jet MAF combo together is roughly another 3-5 or more. So 15-20 is way obtainable with those mods.

Oh forgot to mention that it's not so much gonna through a cell without the maf or tune it will go into limp mode.

Thats because of the 2.4 TB, if you dont have that, then you wont need a tune....

correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct but there is now two ways of being able to install the 2.4TB. Either trifecta tune or Jet MAF sensor.

does the jet maf provide any gains just by itself? it has to have some gain, such as improved mpg or a little bit better peformance

i will, but probably not anytime soon...i have no performance mods really, so it'd be useless to do until i get some because i'd have to keep retuning. i'm working on saving up for an intake, manifold, 2.4 tb, and then jet MAF. then exhaust and other things. after that, i'll tune. it'll be a while though, college students are poor haha

if you get a tune, then you won't need the jet MAF...

let me clear this up man.....if your gunna run a 2.4 TB you need to tune....100% sure on that....soooooo intake, TB, and intake mani with a trifecta tune....that leaves no reason to get the Jet MAf dude....hahah pointless after getting a toon for your TB......so get all that but no jet MAf and id say 20 ish whp and for more do header DP and catback...then really feel the full power of trifecta tooning.....!

install your exhaust first and then get the tuner. Before you install the tune, install your intake mani, TB and your intake. Once installed, install the tune the same day...
