i changed my belt today.
it was slipping before but now it feels like its slower then before.
i used to have the b&m shift plus on but i turned it off cause i think my tranny is getting fucked up from it. a sounds there that wasnt there before.

i used to be able to step on it and it would pick up. but now it feels slugish and dosent have the umph it had before.

might try checking to make sure you have all the ribs aligned correctly and throwing some belt dressing on there. another thing could be that the fact of the rubber on the belt being brand new. its like gettig new tires, you gotta break em in before you beat the crap out of them

your belt has absolutely zero to do with the performance of your car.

its kinda like WD-40 for rubber belts. it lubricates and conditions the belt so its less prone to cracking and prevents squeaks.

aside from taking the whole thing apart, i dont think you really can. a dealership might be able to run some sort of diagnostic, but i dont really know.

you know when you put a bike up side down on its seat and spin the wheels. the sound it makes when it gets up to speed then you stop and let it coast?

i dont know much about the B&M shift plus thing, but i can tell you it shouldnt have anything to do with your belt. The new sound might be, depending on what it sounds like could be grinding, slipping or something along those lines. I'll do some checking on the shift plus and see exactly what it does and get back.
