yellows 2.2 supercharged "death"

so this is what up. i got 12000 miles and 6mo out of the car before she blew last night. i dont now the exstent of the damage yet. but rember when i said "its ok if it blows becouse i wanted to see how long it would last. many many people said it wouldent last 1-2 mo. i got 6 out of her before she puked last night. it started when i was going home last night and i looked down at the gage and it said 5 psi at 2500 rpm in 5th just cruseing i said this is not right somthing wrong so i milked it of the highway and stoped at a red light all was fine running just as smooth as ever started to take off and all i could here is the supercharger and the engine i was like what the hell what happend to my raspy exhaust?? its quiet now?? i turned down my street and then clang clang and the engine stoped running it started right back up in my driveway running fine no check engine lites but when you rev it it sounds very bad all you can hear is the sc whine and then clang bang and it shuts off but if you hit the key it idles fine no lights. so i pulled the belt and checked the sc rotor bearings all was fine and started it back up the engine was running smooth but no exhaust sound. walked to the back of the car stuck y hand in the exhaust thats comming out and omg it was way way to hot for just ideling. then it just stoped and now when you hit the key its like the timming chain has broken. it free spins..

so the verdic is in the engine can take 14psi for for 6mo. and 12000 miles worth of very very hard driving and 3 trips to florda with no probs before she gives up and know tunning at all

Well, I guess it's a good thing to know what the limits are.

were you the guy with the video on streetfire or you tube with the laptop in the 2.2 if so i think thats pretty impressive that a 2.2 could run a fully pretty much year without blowing , only put about 1,000 miles a month

Thats pretty impressive. I saw your videos a month ago and was amazed at what you did to your cobalt. Are you goin to give it another shot to see if you can perfect it?

I liked what you had done, also, until all of the bickering led you to leave. I like to be open minded and see what the outcome is before I belittle an idea.

So do you have any more videos to show?

Am I the only one who thinks that there is absolutely NOTHING to brag about because he couldn't make a reliable supercharged car and he's BRAGGING that he had "no tuning".

It wasn't the point you "lasted 6 months", it's the point that you were going to **** up your ride.

yes thats me. and yes i do have more vids, of me at the 1/8 mile track 4 runs best was 9.5 but couldent get it to hook and some street runnins against a stock SS and a 2.4 killed them from a role 40-105 snaping 3rd and rolling in to 4th then bam bam top speed limiter. the best thing about this was there face droped when they heard the whine and a little 2.2 blew staight the duck past them. now the build begains of only replaing whats broke then try it again. i have been working with different sensors and locations and have found good news from this.

My comments are no where as stupid as your so called project.

I'm sorry but what you so called accomplished "in my opinion" is nothing to be looked up upon. You didn't pioneer anything but you did set a great example of what not to do.

But I would love to see you put "forged everything y0" and still blow the motor.

And what kind of sensors are you looking into? I'm just oh so curious.

I remember..... "I actually told this one guy off cause he was bitching about how loud my car was (some ******** neighbor) and he got in my face. I never cursed someone out so bad in my life and I told him "Do you pay for my insurance? Do you pay for anything on my car? No! Then shut the **** up!" so....

I say push it, someone has to in my opinion. If he can drive for 6 months no tune @ 14 psi, then mine would be fine at 7.5 psi with tune for...well, a lot longer...... so I appreciate it, sorry it blew, would have liked to seen it go even longer....

Huh?

That has nothing to do with this. I'm not telling him not do anything to his car. Matter of fact...I'm encouraging him to modify his car. Maybe he'll run out of spare engines and move onto another car/chassis platform.
