yes, another intake thread
so i want to get an itake for my 2007 LT (2.2L)
i have confirmed id doesnt have SAI so im good there
i just am not sure which intake is the best for me; i am buying an intake for fuel economy mostly.
so what should i get?
AEM
Injen
Fujita
also, i really dont want to get any CEL's, or is it unavoidable?

its an intake, they are pretty much all the same, pick the one that is in your price range and you think looks the best!!!! and seriously there is no damn reason to start a new thread just for this!

Seriously if you're looking for gas mileage don't replace the factory intake. These performance intakes sound good when you "goose" it so you're more likely going to use more gas listening to it!!!!

i consistantly (for months) averaged 26 mpg. now i consitantly get 28 or 29
the cels they give are not bad. buy yourself a scanner, you can get one for less than 100. it's a good thing to have if you plan on modding. and you can just delete the code.

Anyone making a cheap (offbrand) intake yet? I just want to get rid of the ugly plastic piece on top the throdlebody and get that sweet intake sound. I preffer SRI so I doen't suck up water or snow. I had a CAI on my Cav. and it only cost $50. I really can't afford $200+ for an intake. I DO NOT have SAI

hey i used to have a 2005 ls.. and i got the injen from www.ptuning.com which is a shop near me.. dunno how big it is away from my home town. But i absolutely loved it. basically b/c it was a short ram/ CAI conversion.. you can put the CAI on for summer.. and take off the pipe additional pipe and convert it to short ram for winter...

Don't waste your money. Just do the 2.2 Airbox mod. Same exact thing as a $200 intake, just not as pretty. It'll cost you 50 bucks and will give you the same mileage increase as other intakes.

the point of the thread is simple. he is just asking our opinion on which aftermarket intake to get. so dont be cruel but then again he should have done a poll . now me i perfer the Aem cold air intake because of the dryflow filter that doesnt mess up your maf . but other members have purchased other intakes and then purchase the dryflow from aem .then they replace with whichever intake filter with the dryflow
