you don't wanna engage the nitrous at any point below 3000RPM...once you're at 3K feel free to go WOT to engage the nitrous.

if you have a window switch that is set at 3K and you floor it before then it wont matter because you'll need to be at 3K and WOT for the nitrous to activate

Yeah I got a little lazy after the install, plus it started raining just as I was being motivated before taking the pics. I live in Fla. the "Sunshine Sate"...lol. I will for the videos. Thanks though.

New Update

I'm waiting a lil longer with this video because one of my buddies just got an 05 or 06 GT and we're gonna do a few runs. I wana make sure this is a good one so i'm goin to wait a lil till i get my open window switch and bottle warmer. Then i'll do another video, later, once I get my header, downpipe and exhaust on. I already have the downpipe and im waiting for the fixed ones for the 2005 2.2l to come out and i need to order my corsa touring. Let me know what everyone thinks about this run with the GT. I've driven it already and i think it will be a close race.

you can try that if you want, lol...but I wouldn't

my window switch is set from 3000-6300

if you wanna spray at 2500 go for it, just make sure you have an extra intake mani for when/if you experience a nitrous backfire. trust me you hit 3K in no time, any spraying below that is pointless because you wont get traction anyway.

Well I can understand wher ur comin from...just bein safe. I guess i'll set it at like 2800 or sumtin, but i've never lost traction before when using it; excpet for once in the rain, but bearly even then. I have some realy nice ass tires. Thanks for the tip though.

IonNinja is right. Not sure if you seen this already but this is what can happen from spaying under 3000RPM's .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rsqk95tPaUA

As soon as you go WOT it jumps past 3000 anyway so why spray before WOT?

No there is no need to replace the fuel pump. You can run a 75 shot on a bone stock cobalt if you wish. If you can wire a car stereo you can install this using the instructions.

Hello, I'm new here and trying to find out some info on this topic. I have a 2006 HHR (try not to hold that against me) with the ecotec 2.2L and it was suggested to me by a fellow member to check out your site for some tech advice. I also have a Zex "wet" kit that I'm waiting to install on my 06 2.2L. Zex's website recommends going with a 2 step colder plug, but when I called Zex for a plug recommendation, they couldn't tell me which plugs to use. Which plugs are you guys using and what size gap (if gappable) are you set at...Thanks in advance....Mark

Oh and I don't kow if u have a window switch but just so you know, first gear goes by REALLY fast so make sure you're ready to shift.

LOL, I wanted to run a small 50 shot on the LSJ motor. 1st gear must suck with another 50 instant hp. I always thought it would be neat to hit the Zex in second gear. Or is there a way to stage it to spray when in a certain rpm range? Say from 3k to 6k or something?

yeah the window switch = engine's best friend. you can also set it to skip gears aswell.

Bottle location

You need to remount your bottle or it won't be no where near what it should be. It needs to go straight, with the top facing the front of the car because there is a tube that goes inside the bottle all the way to the bottom and when you floor it the N2O sinks the the bottom so you're getting straight nitrous instead of a sketchy mix. Nitrous while still inside the bottle is in a liquid form so when you floor it the nitrous flows back, as you have it mounted now you will only get 100% when the bottle is completely full.
