when people put the high rise on their ls, is that rice? well gm made the high rise so it must not be
carbon fiber is used to lower weight and increase performance. u put carbon fiber trim in your interior that isnt even real carbon fiber. its just painted plastic! are u saying that you are using a wannabe material that people use for performance to make your interior "look" better. pretty much defines rice to me...

rice is anything that has to do with japan... the term rice is not people who are being idiots when they are doing burnouts, or modding their cars untastefully..it was probably introduced in a racial term..me personally, i am a jdm fan and a vw fan so i dont care wat anyone says because in japan and also in the vw world which are 2 different worlds they always trying to be creative.... i think people need to actually learn what the term rice is... also to get back on topic lets talk about angled exhaust

Dude, not everything carbon fiber is rice. If done tastefully, and it looks good, it's probably HOT.
Let's say you make a custom gauge cluster...using all aftermarket gauges, and you put carbon fiber behind them. Is that rice? No. Does it look better than painted fiberglass? Hell yes.
By your definition, I suppose this is "rice"...

You're absolutely correct 08ShowbaltLS, I'm a ricer, I purchased a piece made legitimately for my vehicle by the manufacturer. It actually looks like **** too don't you think? Why ever would anyone want a piece that matches like that? I mean honestly. I'm just gonna scrap it now that you said that. my previous post was to be taken with a grain of salt. I don't care what the kid does, I'm just saying why most people do it. Next time i should just go buy all my parts from Ebay, they make good stuff I hear.

Function over form. There is no functional reason to angle an exhaust on the Cobalt so I couldn't personally justify going for it.
That said, some of the angled setups (ARK) look pretty good. If you like the look go for it and post up some pics.

The angled exhaust is indeed for better exhaust flow like the guy with the suby said. some cars it saves them having extra bends in the exhaust. Would you rather breath through a straight straw or a straw all twisted and mangled?
