07 ls with a 2.4?!

Hey guys, I'm a little confused regarding my engine. I have a 2007 base ls 2.2. Thing is every other 2.2 engine I've looked at is different than mine? Mine looks more like a 2.4? Also I've beaten a LOT of other 2.2 stock like mine, by quite a bit. Take a look and give me your opinions?

Also if you could post what your 2.4 looks like that'd be awesome! Thx

That's the thing is its not a 2.4 SS N/A its a base model ls? But like I said it doesn't look like other 2.2's I've seen? Its a bit bigger and a bit faster stock than other 2.2's?

The 8th character of your VIN is the engine code. 2.2 engine is "F" 2.4 is "B"

it is a 2.2, i saw this same engine design in another 2007. Don't worry about it. and the people you beat it could also be the driver or weight of the car.

07 2.2 went to the individual coils, 05-06 2.2 had a 2-coil assembly -- that's why yours looks different. -- If it was a 2.4 the difference would be VERY apparent on the end of the VC -- the front (passenger side) would have the camshaft bulges for the VVT and you would have 2 solenoids sticking up out of the VC too!!!

It is indeed "f" thanks for the info guys just thought I would make sure?

Guess I'm just a better driver than the other people in my town!

I know this is diff topic but a while back I bought a fujita intake without being aware I was buying half an intake? Does anyone know where I could get one of those nice 3" silicone 90° elbows that come in diff colors? I've seen the plastic ones at pepboys and such but they seem so ghetto? Anywho appreciate input guys thanks ahead of time!
