This is what my auto pulled with Tune Muffler swap and AEM intake. On a dyno jet I don't know what it does at the track never been there with this car and another pull was at 157.3 hp 151.7 Torque stock the car was pulling 153.1hp 144.8 torque so what will a header do ??

I take all dyno numbers with a grain of salt. Dyno's are great tuning tools, but comparing one dyno's numbers to another's is foolish. Going to a different dyno that reads higher won't do anything but boost your ego. My 2.4 auto dyno'd at only 142whp, but I'm running almost identical times to PpAzZ1101 who dyno'd over 10whp higher. Go figure.

Corrected numbers are legitamate ways to compare cars run at different altitudes, temp. etc., but the track surface plays a major part too. Sometimes just switching lanes will shave .1sec.

I think its great! Someone says they ran "X" in a 1/4 mile and everyone wants to see time slips, then a break down of the mods and a dyno graph. Well when they produce a time slip its a 50/50 mix of congrats and BS, no way, you stole that from someone else!
They list there mods and they get, well my car has almost the same mods and I'm only running "BLAH" so I call BS! Then the dyno sheets come out and they're told "No 2 dynos are the same, you can't go by a dyno cause its not accurat, dyno's are only good for tuning"

Let me help you guys out cause some of you seem confused here.
#1. NO, no 2 dyno's are the exact same but it gives you a damn good indicator of where the car is HP wise.

#2. Having 1 different MOD can throw your HP waaay out compaired to someone else. EXAMPLE: Hot Rod mag builds a big block with cam "A" and header "A", it makes 1000hp. A shop builds the same engine but with cam "A+" and header "B+" and the car only makes 870hp. Why? CAUSE ITS NOT THE IDENTICAL SAME ENGINE, so the results WILL be different.

#3. Nit picking over 5 hp here or 2hp there makes you look very petty and almost jelous.

That said yes something is a tad "off" with his #'s and what he's running but sooo many things could be variables to explain why that there's no reasn to flame the guy to death!

Just my .02

Agreed what cracks me up is when people start adding all their mods and say intake 5hp
full exhaust 15 tune 10hp that should give me X amount of hp. I've seen how companies use (example) our intake produces 5 hp that hp isn't across the whole power band it usually just for a few rpms or what ever and people take it as Wow I should be pulling X amount but then go to a dyno and guess what its not what they expected. I only showed my dyno because Elements of the day will give good runs and bad runs. also I don't want people saying I'm full of S@*T so I showed my sheet

^ ^ ^ Well like I said your stuff does seem a tad off but its understandable and I left it at that. Some people think HP # are reproducable all the time abd fail to consider how even 10degrees in temp can make a difference. Humidity does to, in fact a humd day you will make less HP then on a dry day. Dyno's are great to see ABOUT where you are but by no means should you treat the #'s like they are carved in stone.

I love all the discussion that my little dyno sheet created. I'm not saying that my numbers are the absolute truth which is why I'm dynoing my car again. I was looking to be making around 140 to 150 at the wheels on a mustang dyno. Don't you guys think I know that there is something wierd about putting down 173 at the wheels and running a 15.5 as my best time. And as far as the corrected time I don't buy that **** either I just mentioned it because I know a lot of people talk about how fast there cars are SUPPOSED to go
I wasn't trying to call names, I only got defensive cause of the "your dyno is whack" comment. Now I think that if the number was real that I should be at least around 15.00. So if it is real than something has to be corrected with my tuning. Now tomorrow for those of you who are interested in knowing what it put down I'll post assuming I'm not going to be hammered with interrogations. I'm not mad at anyone and I hope no one is mad at me. I'm just trying to share some info.

So can we all just get along

Times from track to track are different just like each dyno is different. Track times are more comparable then dyno's are but they still vary track to track. His 15.5 could be a 15.1 on some tracks. I had a .4 sec and 3-4 mph difference on my 1/8th mile slips alone (9.6's vs 10's) from my 1/8thmile in Louisville vs oreily in Indy. Now imagine the difference between the 1/4 times.

I can already feel the attacks coming so before I post my new results, I want to share a few quotes from my previous posts:

Today I went to another dyno and dynoed 157 hp at the 154 ft/lbs of torque. Now I'm not going to lye I was excited about the mustang dyno numbers(after all it is a mustang dyno) But I guess everyone including my own common sense was right. But you have to understand it was hard not to get excited about pulling those kinds of numbers on a mustang dyno. I guess I should have taken them with a grain of salt. The guy at the dyno that I was at today said that my other results could have been because they let it go into overdrive. But I don't know. I do believe my current numbers. So that's it. If you want to go ahead and start saying "I told you" go ahead. But I hope no one feels it is necessary. And also I'm actually running real rich not lean. Don't know what was up at cft, but at least now I can try fixing my tune. Peace.

Dude, I wasn't on your case so that I could say "I told you so". I was just trying to point out the inconsistency. Those are still good numbers for those mods. With some fine tuning, I think you can squeeze some more power out of it still. Good luck with it.

as far as my afr's go they start in the 14's and then at about 4600 rpms start to make a steady drop all the way to 10 at about 6400 rmps and then into the nines. So definitely have some room for improvement

different dyno on a dyno jet, the first ones were a mustang dyno(I don't know what was up with the mustang dyno)

Maybe the guys at CFT messed up the info when you dynoed.

No it's not. Getting an SRT4 to run 13's takes a boost controller and a cutout. A 1st Gen DSM can run 13's with around $500-700 worth of mods. It all depends on what the cars got to work with to begin with. If you've got power to spare, you can do it.
