you know....if they removed every useless post in this thread,i.e. all the ones by people stating that it is USELESS and "close this thread" and the like, it would be an ok thread. Who are you guys to say what someone can post when they want to know something. Although this post doesnt address the original topic, i was more irritated by the gaps in actual conversation due to the above "useless" posts, than the fact that this has already been discussed before.

In short, if you dont like something cuz you feel it is over posted, Then WHY GO READ IT!. And on top of that post in it. it all goes back to not saying anything if you have nothing nice to say. One person has a legitimate question and all you guys did was come in and bitch that he asked it. Just stay the ^$&* out of it then!

Only reason I said something was so I can bring some common sense to the crowd and maybe someone would understand instead of bickering between what model they beat when and where.

 

It's called the game. Why wear name brand clothes??? I really don't care but alot of ppl do for some reason. I can where my SouthPole jeans and feel just as good as some one with Evisu jeans... why did I buy my Cobalt??? Because it feels good to role around town in something that catches ppls eyes. I like the attension it brings to me through young auto enthusiasts. Why would someone buy a Ferrari if they can buy a Corvette? Perhaps your statement was not thought all the way through. So you are partially right. I bought my car because I knew ppl would like it... and as long as I liked it then it was okay. Alot of ppl gock over Mustangs and there are some seriously fast ones out there... but I wouldn't drive one if it was given to me. I'd trade it in for a Cobalt.

 

I love my 2.4...btw thanks now in sig...

no matter what people say i love my 2.4 ive driven the 2.2 and i probably wouldn't get one but the 2.2's are nice also...still alot of potential! i'll still stick with my 2.4!

 

I stand by my statement. If you bought your car to impress everyone else, you're an idiot. I didn't say you couldn't buy your car because it looks good, or because it's a nice ride. I agree, I'd rather have a Cobalt over a Mustang.... I like the car better. It's called personal preference. That's not what I was referring to. If you bought your car simply to impress everyone else, then you're superficial and very materialistic. There's no other nice way to say it.

 

yes i have a manual! i had to fight with the dealership to get it though..all they had were the owners manuals for the cavy lol

i don't know if that is it, but it really pisses me off. i have only been in i think 5 races since i bought my car. accords and **** do ricer fly bys all the time and then wont look at me when we are sitting at the light.

i agree with most of your post, but man have you ever driven a ferrari? i have driven a z06 and an f430 and i can tell you right now it is worth the extra money. the z06 is fast as hell, and it actually may outrun the f430 in any performance aspect, but the ferrari is like a 12 second lexus. it is just so much nicer and classier than any corvette. just thought i'd point that out. your main idea is right tho, buy what makes you happy, nothing else should really matter.

I get ppl who want to race me all the time (mainly Civics). My car is the perfect sleeper. They take off and then I simply catch them. Shuts em up real easy. Like I've said on .com, the 2.2 is the leading contender in its class.

 

I have a 2.4L still badged "SS". I have a loud ass exhaust on my car as well... but I barely ever get races on the streets. Go figure.

Neither do i, and if i do is some slow as ***** Tc...or someone in an 85 F-body that looks like its on its way to a demolition derby or some ****...
