Exclamation 2.4 LE5 Fuel Pump Capabilities

Does anyone here have info on what the 2.4's fuel pump can deliver? Looking to get 300whp with the stocker if possible if it's not possible, does anyone know of a direct replacement for our cars?

log the fuel pump and find its duty cycle. it shouldn't be an issue for 300whp with a turbo..

probably not much further. id guess around 250whp is the limit for the 42's. as for the pump, i think they run out around 350whp ish on thelsj's so if we have the same pump...give or take somewhere around there.

250whp for 42's is pushing it.... defiantly need 60's to 300, my guess is they will be at there limit here and you'll need bigger for 300+

this is all GM could tell me on the fuel pumps limits but I have since heard from a reliable source that the stocker should be able to support the 300whp goal I have.

Thank you for contacting the Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center. We
appreciate you taking the time to write and inquire about
specifications of the 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt SS 2.4 LE5, particularly with regard to
its fuel pump.

We do apologize but we actually don’t have any specific
specifications for the fuel pump. However, as far as my research goes, I was able
to gather some pieces of information pertaining to the 2006 Chevrolet

are as follows:

Horsepower (hp/kw@rpm): 171 / 128 @ 6200*
Torque (lb-ft/Nm@rpm): 163 / 221 @ 5000*
Recommended fuel: premium recommended but not required
Max engine speed(rpm): 6750
Exhaust system: stainless steel with aluminized coating on the
muffler and tailpipe

Emissions controls: close-coupled catalytic converters; High
Resolution 58X ignition system; return less fuel delivery system; fast-response
O 2 sensor
