2.4 LE5 Tuners

Alright I want to get everyone in here that is tuning there 2.4's with HP Tuners so we can all share are knowlede, and mishaps to try and help each other.


Right now I am running a very mild tune with a bumped up rev limiter piston prtection enabled at 6000 RPM's. I am still setting up my scanner to read all the info I need to tune the MAF.

all im runnin is 34#s with hptuners full exhaust gmpp intake and rev limeter to 7krpm, and speed limeter to 145 and shut off 02 sensor on the header it kept trippin cuz of flow issues. other than that running great.

i've also been tuned by hp. Psyokostevo did my tuning n did a great job. He bumped the rpm to 7150. Added a little more timing. Plus he tuned the trans.

Im sorry but I thought that the SS injectors were 32#?

But did you do you tune, or did some one else do it for you. I am trying to find out what everyone is doing and how there gains are.

How much timing did he add? Was it down low in the rev range or spread out? I have not even got into the timing for my car.

i helped out and looked at it so i could know whats going on.

im runnin about 173whp now and just under 200 crank. dynoed i have it on myspace somewere. and its pretty good for now

He added 3 degrees of timing. We tried to go to 5 but the motor didn't like it to much. Started to ping. But I believe it's across the whole range.

wow 3 degrees is quite a bit. so that would make your top end alittle better or the off the line better i dont remember. i know retard is the oposite just never really got into timing yet.

currently im tuned with hptuners. i have the ss/sc injectors i there which are 32lbs injectors...just to let everyone know. a good amout of tranny work done and i have a tranny cooler on the car..cuz the car WOT shifts very strong. yes added some timing, increased shifting to 7150, umm there is just so much changed..lol. umm i did run a steve tune and it put my car 6.3% ltft..which can be bad..meaning the car was adding more fuel...this was due to the 34# setup in the tune. doing some research i found out the ss/sc injectors are 32 and now the car runs amaing. but its funny these cars will learn the tune and adjust to it..its really crazy.

You wouldnt happan to have a copy of that tune I could look at would you. I would like to see how much timing was advanced.
