yea i did have a slow start I didnt' even really get on it till like 20 mph as you can hear by the revs of the car. I was also recording it myself and I didn't want to get torque steer off the line since I was using my knees to hold the wheel... still not safe haha
it takes me like 3 seconds to get from 0-20 then 5 seconds to get from 20-65 or so yea i'd say i had a slow start

Hmmm.
Well anyway, the C&D article states that the SS they tested had a 5 speed manual transmission.
Maybe the speed governor was only put on the '07 SS cars?

that might be it, but i know 15 cobalt drivers can vouch for me. and i could have prolly creeped up a lil more than 135. cause a lt guy i was racing hit his gov at 125. but maybe since i have an intake and exhuast it gave me some more hps to get me up a little more?
plus i barely lost to a sc in a race. from like 85-120mph he was infront like maybe 1 length lol

Gee. They must have downsized my car quite a bit with the '07 model!
LOL
Heh, have you ever taken your car to the track? Because that is the only way to eliminate driver reaction time, etc., and to know what your car actually runs.
I turned a 14.8@96mph with only 500 miles on the clock. And even with that "barely broken in" 1/4 mile time, it should still put me a full second ahead of at least a normally aspirated SS.
So any time slips on your car would greatly help in determining what hp your making.

yea i did take my car to the track. and i said cobalt drivers lol. we were all cruising it was sick we have some video footage of that. but at the track i ran 15.7 stock with no launch. now i have intake exhaust i wanna get out there and see what it can do. but for some reason off the line the SC are nice. but on the high way i guess the way the curve is (why people with the SC want a turbo instead) it doesnt really do much at high speeds. like i said i barely lost to one from 80ish to 120ish. but off the line they walk me. (if you can understand that lol) but i cant wait to get the hahn kit for my car. 4 grand and it will put be at mid 13s a automatic ran 13.7

I'd love to run 'ya to see what would happen in an 80-120.
Taking into consideration your current mods, it seems that you should be turning maybe a 15.3-15.4 sec. 1/4 at about 93mph.
So unless the SC guy was in the wrong gear at the start of that 80-120, it still shouldn't be close.
The Supercharger comes on VERY strong int he higher rpm's, so the only real way for it be lagging behind is if the driver is in the wrong gear.

With a 2.4, you can probably really make the engine sing (with all the right parts).
What else is available to you guys with the 2.4 in the way of N/A?
I talked to a dude at the store the other day who was driving his G/F's Red SS, was a nice looking car (had an automatic).
Have fun with your SS man!
