people who have blown up - 2

i'm sure theres are alot more people that have blown theres engines we just dont know about it. Not everyone stays on the cobalt fourms i was dropping my friend off in wpb and i saw this guy with two cobalts in his garage all tricked out, older gentleman never even heard of css.net
wtf.. dude.. gm race team runs a bored out 2.0 L with a 2.16 L displacement they started with the 2.0 L motor.. redoing it would change EVERYTHING.. the 2.4 block is a stronger block stock then the 2.2 hands down (prior to the LAP of course).. it's not up to debate.. it's a GEN II ecotec block.. plus using a 2.4 would require stripping it of VVT and some other features so they could run tuning easier / more effective

yea and your argument is moot you say theres aot more people that've blown up.. theres also alot more people that havent lol you're a roit.. the people i said that havent blown.. are 2.0's i was using them as an example of how a tune and compressor make a difference

thats just a quick sampling of people on here that have boost and are putting down the same or more whp then you all on stock bottom ends.. this is not counting the myriad of people on the solstice and sky forums that have boost either

there are 3 other people i've gotten emails about doing trifecta tunes for 2 m62 and 1 turbo'd 2.4

seriously man.. quit while your ... well .. less behind

ran a 15.66 1/4 mile, like 2 weeks ago on a cool day. got the slip somewhere in the bacl seat of my car. only thing ive done since the ladt time at the track is the sportlines and a Lsj DP. other than that its still all stock. see what happens after this winter and i get somemore stuff added to it.

the 2.2 has been around alot longer than the 2.4.

GM makes race blocks for the 2.2, not the 2.4.

You are comparing a engine with ALOT of aftermarket support, to one that has..virtually none.

Yes, the 2.2 can be made to handle 1,500hp. AWESOME.

Stock for stock, the 2.4 has more than proven itself. The 2.2...not so much.

Thanks!
im wicked happy, it was perfect cond. 60 degrees out and no clouds. so the track was warmed by the sun and the air was nice and dense. it was chevy fest so there were plenty of cars there keeping the track warm. it was an awesome day

06 should have the SAI option on the stock intake, your gonna have to bypass this and even if you didn't have SAI you would still set off a run lean code. a slight trick around this is to tighten the gapping of your plugs, atleast that worked for me.
