thats wierd. i just looked at my dp and the cat is about 2" away from the sway bar. cant see how the lsj dp wouldnt fit. seems like theres alot of space there. also the bends above the cat are to the drivers side and not the bottom which makes it look like the whole dp is going to the drivers side a bit and not straight down. i have the xtc dp and pretty soon will be installing it. ill keep you guys posted but i think the xtc dp will bolt on with no problems
and i was actually wondering the same exact thing about the XTC dp cause i might be picking one up soon.
although now that i look at the difference in the DPs i see that the LSJ cat is indeed a fail and that the high flow cat on the XTC is MUCH smaller on the bottom it only look about a half inch to an inch wider than the pipe. where the lsj cat is like 2-3 inches. http://cobalt-addiction.com/products...ipe_large3.jpg
so without a doubt the XTC should definately fit.
tell us how it goes cesar

So in that pic the middle one is the one that I got. But it looks as the cat is higher than on the ss/na or the lsj dp. That wouldn't be a problem touching the cat heat shield?

but im just speculating there.
and how much life do people normally see out of an aftermarket dp?
cause i'm looking at one that has 40k miles on it and i want to make sure that i won't need a new cat in like 2 months. lol

alright man. cause i'm like 60 miles from picking one up that was meant for a manual.
and btw i love the way your sedan looks.
i'm actually beginning to love the way the sedan rear end looks.
all these coupe owners be hating cause it doesnt have 4 taillights. i kinda like the two. it looks hella clean.

Nah it's a g5 "lip" only. Not the whole bumper. It almost looks like an evo x when installed.
Rk sport makes it. Check out their website

i know i'm bringing this up from the dead, but i just wanted to say that i have an lsj dp on my 5spd and i had exhaust put on. i had bought a 2.5 magnaflow cat to replace the stock cat, and the exhaust guy said he couldn't put it on cause the pipe is about a 3". i was wondering what i should do now? would i be better off just selling the magnaflow cat and leave the lsj dp as is, or should i get a 2.5 aftermarket dp? if aftermarket, which is the best 2.5 dp i can get?

To anyone who has been told the lsj downpipe is 2.5" .... that is wrong. The actual size is 2.78" o.d. I measured mine when I had it off the car a few weeks back. The small neck down portion at the end of the downpipe (right before the 2 bolt flange) is 2.38" o.d.

Yeah that sucks man. I don't know what genious on this site made up the size of 2.5" for the stock lsj downpipe, but they couldnt have been more wrong. I always knew the downpipe was 2.75". I just wanted to finally confirm it with actual measurements.
