Canada 2.4L LE5 2008 SS Turbo

I own a 2008 ss, K&N cold air, 2" drop, Magnaflow exhaust, and I think I'm ready to go turbo, so I'm just wondering what are my option for more horse?!?! Also what would you suggest for a turbo?!

I have a LNF stock turbo kit if you are interested
Otherwise, if you want a new and branded kit, I agree with the guy of the previous post: ZZP

x2. That's what I'm running on my '07 LE5. Make sure you get a clutch though. Mine slipped 3rd-5th gear in boost. Good luck!

With the zzp kit you really cant go wrong. The kit is complete, I've read that it's easy to install, and improves the performance dramatically

Everything bolts on nicely. I haven't gotten numbers yet as I'm still running on the zzp tune and waiting to install gauges and the clutch but it definitely picks up nicely. A lot quicker then pre-turbo.

necro?

+1 for ZZP, i went with stage 3 air2air S252 (full boost @ 2200 ftw)

word of advice though, get the oilpan from them. and make sure they send the right injectors.... the kit was great, but man the back and forth bull **** i had to deal with them... months of wasted time...

as for numbers, on 91 octane (highest i can get here) and on a conservative 8 psi tune, 276/281

but don't get to obsessed with numbers, they don't mean everything. use-able torque is way better for a fun daily driver than a 450+ gigantic turbo that only spools at 100 miles an hour. and yea, get a new clutch

So far my engine is holding up fine. Everything is still stock. I haven't had any issues. Knock on wood.

In '08 is became the Cobalt Sport. If I recall though it's just about the same as the SS/NA. Just the name change.

the 2.4 was called SS when they were selling it with the LSJ SC. When the Turbo version came out it was re-called sport.

the only 2.4 SS were the ones made in 2005 and 2006. all others are sport. The VIN for these years will bring it up as an SS

as for turbo size, its preference S252et, S256ET or S259

my 2 cents is for the S252, i love full boost at 2400, and both the S252/S256 are rated to 400 WHP, so if you plan to build the turbo system further down the road; the "ceiling" the turbo; is pretty much the same, except you'll get the power quicker.

its entirely preference. let us know what you pick
