What makes a Cobalt LNF and LSJ an SS but not the 06-07 LE5? The fact that it's boosted?

And has better suspension, stronger motors, nicer seats, better brakes(LNf), and the lsj and LNf are actually quick which is a must when badged super sport

Wasn't their just a thread on the most hate coming from other Cobalt owners?

I'm boosted, handle and stop just fine, motor has held up just fine, and I'd take the heated leather seats over any of them. Just my opinion though.

There are also guys in the monte and camaro camps, who think putting the SS badge on sports package for a FWD 4 cylinder enconomy car lsj or lnf was mockery of the badge.

soem die hard chevy fans think he should only be rseved for the RWD v8s, and had rustled jimmies when the monte became FWD :P so it depends where you want to to sit on the line of corporate branding ROFL

I'm still interested in the zzp turbo, but what other mods will enhance hp/tq noticably?

if you are going turbo, an exhaust is definitely a must have. I got ZZP 3 inch, its cheap and does the job. Up to you whether you want it muffled or cat'd

Recommend new valve springs/retainers, you wont see gains, but it will help with the turbo build.

But if your ripping apart the head, might as well get cams as well

but, dont get too mod happy tight off the get go, Pretty much everything in the 2.4 SS is NOT designed to handle 300+ hp. which the zzp kit will put you there easily.

i would just stick with the turbo and exhaust to start. Remeber to upgrade the clutch and tires as well
