what are options for the cams? There's the JBP triflow ones, are they just a special way of grinding them...or is grinding our stock set different?

Another update:

LSJ Downpipe/Cat -- cat is 60% larger than the 2.4 Cat.

Appears to be a perfect fit for manual equipped 2.4s But needs reworking by an exhaust shop to install in an automatic equipped 2.4. No CELs either.

Stock 2.4 DP pipe is 2" OD
LSJ DP pipe is 2 3/4" OD

They can still tell if the ecu had been modified, so yes if they see your ecu had been played with, it voids it no matter wat, doesnt have to be the cause of the failure. The only real way to get away with it is grab a second ecu, put the tune in that one, then if all goes bad, put back the stock non modified ECU and take it in.

Talk to a GM tech

dude.. i have talked to a gm tech... according to him ( unless he was full of ****) tech 2 doesn't read ECM history.. so when you're CURRENTLY flashed with a tune they can tell but if you flash to stock they cant..

and no.. it doesn't void it no matter what.. my dealership has known for ages that I have a tune to turn off the CEL from my high flow cat.. and I haven't had any issues..

All depends on the dealership, but most will void u right away if they see the tune. Just because your dealership does it does not mean the rest do. Infact its rare to find a dealership that will approve warranty work or even look at it if they know its tuned.

There was a lot of talk at our last meet over this issue, in the end, if the dealership is determined enough to find a way to void u and u tuned ur stock ecu, even if its tuned back, they can find out.

Or much of anything in general.....

I wish the mod had stickied my 2.4 performance modifications list thread I made a looong time ago. It was more complete than this list, AND I practically live on here so it would be constantly updated. Owells, it was overlooked by the mods, so this one will have to do.

ok

maybe in canadia things are different.. and tech 2 can read history.. but as far as my experience with it .. they can't

as long as the tune hasn't effected things to damage them.. then they legally can't deny anything.. just because my cars tuned doesn't mean my sunroof was modded.. if you pop your engine.. and they know you had it tuned.. yes .. you will lose warranty.. but if your catback breaks or something no they can't
