So today I got the muffler cut off, and it sounds great, not too ricey, but not too tame either.

A local shop did it for $25......and i kept my stock tip.


it feels a little quicker, but im installing, well..my friend is installing his 2.2L Injen Intake(because they work on the 2.4L), to see how well it works.


i'll probably get some #'s for you guys in a few days if i can.

There is no way that thing doesnt sound ranchy as **** w/ no muffler on there, thats like straight pipes.............

It may be loud but I dont think it will sound bad... Tell an SRT driver he's rice for not having a muffler lol.

Come on man...don't call people names cause they did something to their car. Judging someones intellect is one thing, choices what they do to their car is another thing.

Personally, I wouldn't have done it but if you feel that it works alright and you're happy, than thats all that matters.

While I'm sure it could get worse, that sounds pretty damn bad...

 

Too all you guys that call it "rice" how the fuc is that rice??? My car had a bad muffler, they dealer blted a new one on so I did the no muffler thing after installing a peice of straight pipe and man I've never gotten the "rice" name!!! It sounds great, seems to free up power! I've had guys that know cars better then I know the back of my hand and they even think it sounds cool! Cudos brother for the release of that muffler, its sucks though on the stand point that on the highway its soo loud but **** you get the looks KICK ASS! alas another converted

 

its deep and doesn't sound bad but its louddddd i had to remove my muffler to install a trailer hitch

 

i recall that dude dragon007 or something like that did the same exact thing and it sounded like crap so im pretty sure that yours sounds the same, sorry not trying to be mean but imo it sounds like ****

Dude, I have a catless exhaust with just a Magnaflow muffler. It's loud as hell as it is..I can't imagine having NO muffler...Good luck with losing your hearing bud My advice to you is PUT ON A MUFFLER!!!

 

Its rice in the way that A) they removed the muffler to get sound and B) They removed the muffler to get "performance"

Its a cheap way to say "Hey my exhaust is all performance" when in reality its nothing but cheap riced out crap.

If you want a performance exhaust spend the money on it. This reminds me of the guy that made an intake out of crap piping and it looked rednecked, and the only reason he did it was he didn't have money to mod, this is the exact same situation. No money for performance so chop the muffler off and BAM! "Performance"

 

thats funny because they have the shittiest sounding 4 cyl exhaust out...sounds just like a turbo'd Honda

thats why i no longer look at these forums NJHK.. i am not saying I am a saint by any means, but some of the stuff i see written in the forums disgusts me
