2.4L zzp turbo kit question, really noobish.
hi, pondering on gettting the stage 2 or 3 turbo kit.
my question is :
what is the difference between stage 2 or 3? besides psi boost, whp.
do you need any parts that do not come in the kit to make the kit work properly?
do you need stage 3 to actually get the stage 3?
thanks.

Stage 3 has an extended tip turbo and 60# injectors. If you're going with stage 3 I'd say get a clutch upgrade (if you're manual) and possibly axles (not sure what the 2.4 axles are rated at or if they're even different). Not sure what your last question means.

so if i was to take my ss/na , with just a k&n sri, the stage 3 kit would be virtually plug and play?

You would need a tune you couldn't just bolt the turbo up and drive on your merry way I think you would want a boost gauge and I don't know if the include the 78# vavle springs but I know they have them on their turbo 2.4l

only the stage 3 comes with the extended tip I thought??? When you go to order, stage 1 and 2 say bullseye s256 turbo and stage 3 says bullseye s256 extended tip turbo. I went with stage 2 for my 2.2. And to the OP, your k&n sri won't be any good with the kit it comes with it's own filter and intake.

you might wanna search around on the site and read other zzp/turbo build threads before making a decision on which kit to purchase also...getting up into the higher boost with stage 2 and 3 alot more can go wrong especially if you dont know what your doing....

Good words of wisdom. Sure the stage 3 kit pumps out a very high amount of power but also consider the stress it adds to everything related to the motor

The extended tip turbo is an option on all stages just comes standard with stage 3 I would just get a stage 2 kit with the extended tip turbo and build it up as my need for power increased, because if you think about it you can never get enough power

you shouldn't need axles because of the turbo lag there isn't a whole lot of torque right from the get-go like the supercharged car have.
