Thats weird it shouldn't. Double check all the connections and make sure they're all tight. Also check where the sensor goes in and make sure its got the seal on it so its not bleeding any air in. Just an intake should not throw a CEL. Somethings gotta be put together wrong.

Sorry you had problems man but its what made me give up on tuning mine too.

I'll just wait till HAHN comes out with their kit.
Damn Terry, you had it the 2nd roughest I have heard yet. That other kid who installed the injectors wrong and shot one out of the rail probably had it worse than you.

I hate how the 2.4L treats a lean code like the end of the world. If it's lean, we can fix it, but why do they have it shut off the ABS and TC too when it goes lean. Real safety issue there.

i really couldn't tell u that one. im not sure if the lean code im getting or rich code is from the loss of traction..i really doubt its not. there just has to be more tuning done i guess.

Yeah tell me about it! The reason it shuts off the traction control is cause the computer sees the lean condition as a drivability problem and when it sees one it shuts off the traction control and sometimes the abs so it doesn't have to worry about those systems interfering with the car still driving. Thats what the guys at GM told me anyway.

i know i put up another post but sometimes it better in 2.4 section.
Do have traction control AND antilock, or just traction control? If both, it's one of the wheel sensors and doesn't have anything to do with the injectors. I get that a lot, and need to take mine in to get it scanned and fixed under warranty.

LewiSS its his tune I'm tellin ya. I had the EXACT same problem when I had mine done, EXACT! Take away the tune and the CEL and traction control and ABS lights allllll go away! Thats why I got rid of mine, too uch BS to be bothered with.

It should be your maf tables like I said before. Just have them redone a tad leaner and see if it helps you any.

OK - sorry for sticking my nose in!

I have no doubt that messing with the stock tune can cause totally unexpected results. That sucker's one mass of spaghetti code, everything linked to everything else.

Oh, no, don't take me wrong! I was just KIDDING!

Damn internet - hard to tell joking from anger. I'd never go off on you, 'lope (maybe some noob, but not a REGULAR! )

No, I was originally wondering if someone else was having the intermittent sensor problem I am with the anti-lock (which also effects the traction control).

P0171 is LEAN CYLINDER BANK 1

It is NOT a rich code.

0172 is the rich code. Could be the intake throwing it off. I know on the ss/sc's it would do that.
