2 bar map sensor for mt turbo 2.4
I dont have one of these right now but I think I may benefit from having one. Where do I get this sensor? Can I install it without retunign right away or would I have to wait till im on the dyno? Where exactly on the car does it install at? This is different than the maf sensor on the intake right? Sorry for the newbish questions.

This is a direct plug in MAP sensor for the LE5. It should be used when adding boost to your engine for proper tuning.
thats wut it says. didnt even notice they sold that seperatly..get it!

You will also need a tune before using it. currently, when your stock MAP sensor sends 5volts to the ECM, the ECM sees this as 14.7PSIa, since it is a 1 bar MAP sensor. If you install a 2 bar Map sensor and dont re-scale the table, it will think whenever it sees 5volts you are running 14.7PSIa, when you will in fact be running 29PSIa now, so PE mode wont turn on until you are at 15psi boost. As im sure you know, running 15:1 AFR at near 15psi causes things to go boom in your engine

Just purchased.
thanks, I will install it on the dyno.
are you using the stock intake manifold? if yes, then that is where it installs. if not, then it just has to be placed anywhere after the turbo. I would imagine the easiest spot to place it is wherever yur stock one is placed now.

So to tune with this and boost this is all i should have to do?

Map sensor Linear reads 94.4 in the stock PCM file and this needs to be changed to 200. The KPA offset is 10.3 stock and should be changed to 8.15
Im gonna do an install on this tomorrow then un install it because I am getting re tuned on thursday and I will have to quickly install it on the dyno. Hopefully it doesnt take too long. I have to see what tools i need to bring with me as well.

You shouldnt have to bring any tools. It just pops into place on the stock manifold. On the 2.2 manifold the TB is in the way so you may need a 10mm socket to remove your TB in order to get to it.
Once its installed, and you made the changes zzp says to, you will still need to do additional tuning. You're going to have to tell the ECM to tune using MAP primarily instead of MAF like you have now. I don't think its all that worth it.
Only reason I'm considering to buy it is that when I hit PE, I drop below 10AFR and Vince told me the only way to smooth out the transition to PE when switching to pure MAF is to have a >1bar MAP.
