2008 2.4 ecm questions and thoughts.

Alright so recently ive gotten curious about this topic. And a few things seem a bit odd to me. So im going to throw those up and maybe some people can jump in and help out. Heres what ive found out.
jet modules work on 07-08 2.4s
the 08 ecm is different from 07s
the 06-07 ecms are the same (called the dealership)

so if anyone has access to ecm pinouts could compare the 3 pinouts of the ecms thatd be great as honestly those facts seem a bit odd to me. What im thinking is maybe us 08 guys might be able to swap out for an 07 ecm and gain more tuning options. Or that maybe hptuners hasnt truly even tried to tune an 08 ecm. personally hvaing hptuners available for us 08s would be a very nice option and one that i want. i understand how the jet modules work but it seems to me the ecm pinouts would need to be the same for the module to work between the 07 and 08 (jet part number 10708). yet the module will not work on 06s which the dealer said the 06 and 07 ecms are the same. So did gm change the ecms only and leave the electrical connections the same? And on a side subject is it primarily the ecm or the intake manifold that makes the 08s faster than the 07s?

The only option for 08s for full tuning is LS2edit and I just so happen to be selling mine right now.

And I believe is a a software difference more over a hardware difference between the 06-07 and the 08s.

Well I wanted HPtuners for a few reasons but I was just also curious as to the actual differences in the car. I knew the tuning options. But im also curious why an aftermarket product works with the 07 and 08s yet those computers are different yet wont work with the 06's.

I also think its more of a software than hardware issue between the 06-07 being slower than the 08,but it begs the question of the intake mani being the only real difference between the 2 maybe somebody with a 07 and a 08 should swap intake mani's and see if it makes a diff.

Well ive been searching for the pinouts but havent found them. If us 08 guys could switch to the 07 ecu we could use hptuners which the local shops are far more familar with.

I have another idea to kinda back up the intake mani being differnt the 08's have a different throttlebody right?
Maybe the 08's have a bigger throttle body? I heard that the wiring is different I'm thinking that chevy used the lsj throttle body on the 08 and up can't back that up but I'm gonna go search it now

08s have an 8 plug connector for the throttle body. Size im unsure of as I dont have a caliper to measure it with.
