2008 LE5 Throttle body upgrade

Ok I have searched some on this and honestly have gotten confusing and conflicting information. As im not near my car I can not confirm or deny any of the information.

But heres the deal was thinking of finally starting to collect sc parts. But didnt want to use the LE5 throttle body. Now apparently they changed the wiring in the 08 2.4 to 6 pin? Is this right?

So if us 08s have 6 pin throttle bodies what throttle body upgrade options do we have? The LS4 throttle body is an 8 pin unit.

Sorry if this has been asked like I said was getting conflicting and confusing information (some sleep might help )

So in short what throttle body upgrade options are there for 08 2.4s?

Would this do the trick in letting me run an LSJ or LS4 throttle body?

You rewire the 6 pin to the 8, on the lsj 2 wires are doubles you pairs them up.

example

6pin --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lsj 8 pin

or go on ebay and buy this convertor harness EDIT i see you found it already

I have done it both ways and can tell you they work just fine.

Ok so if thats the case then I wonder if that connector will work for the LS4 tb. Will have to look into the wiring differences between an LS4 tb and an LSJ tb.

Figure a 2.4 should be able to better utilize an LS4 TB when supercharged compared to an LSJ.

I would keep it simple and go lsj, everything above that is not necessary

Well the plan is to push this 08 motor on a supercharger (might come easy might not)
So what i aimiing for mod wise is this. (Im also an auto)

LS4 tb (need)
M62 (need)
2.6 pulley (need)
option b (need)
dual pass (need)
zzp s3 HE (need)
meth (need)
E85 tune (need)
80lb injectors (need)
fuel pump rewire (need)
header (already have it)
catback (already have it)
downpipe (need to get it)

Not sure if that will get me 275whp but thats the lowest I want.
I have 2 vehicles so the E85 tune is possible plus theres a handful of stations near my work and apartment.

Opinions are welcome.

Transmission coolers are not recommended for the 4t45e they create more issues than they solve.

Haven't seen or heard of a single issue with tranny coolers on 4t45e, 1000s of us have them installed with zero issues, aside from lower tranny fluid temps. ZZP recommends them, my tranny shop swears by their cooling benefits and until someone can show me conclusively that heat transfer properties that work so well in radiators and oil coolers don't work for ATF fluid I'm not buying it.

Fact: Heat kills Automatic transmissions.
Fact: ATF Coolers, using well proven heat exchange properties cool transmission fluids.

N/A engines, especially a LE5 driven by grandma will get by just fine without one. Pushing 275HP minimum, without one is going to be interesting. Maybe not right away, and maybe not with an aggressive ATF changeout schedule but with rebuilds starting up here at $3000 a good many chose to add the extra insurance a cooler provides.

Back to the OPs wish list, I'd add HPTuners and a WB.

The problem is in the fluid foaming not the cooling properties.

In other news, my 4t45e is finally starting to act fussy. 2.5 years of boost and 6 years old with 60k miles. won't hold 3rd for long on a WOT pull and bounces between it and 4th. Ah well...bought a 2007 4t45e with 1,830 miles for $200 off MongoRat...he just needs to ship it

$225 according to fedex, they have a 150lb limit before it becomes bulk freight. The 4t45e just makes it under that, but the final $$$ hasn't been tabulated as it remains unshipped.

I have a fully built auto trans from zzp. I brought my own b&m trans cooler to add on top of the one built into the radiator. No issues so far. About 10k put onto it. (Stock motor tho )
Also interested in throttle options. Thinking about getting the TTR intake manifold. To go along with my next mod (ported head and cams)
Im trying to attempt 200whp keeping it N/A for now. Guess we'll have to see if that is possible.

Please just keep every little thing you think about posting to yourself, or to the lounge. Your seriously just cluttering this place up with useless bullshit and it's very annoying.

What adapter plate are you using to put on the stock LE5 intake manifold?
