About Time
#105
Well I'm getting upset.. None of my friends made videos and my phones almost dead. The third time I tried to make a run they said I had gravel from the sand pit so I spent half an hour trying to clean it out. I'm trying to do one final run. On my last one (4th time at the tree) I got a great launch, but I hit a patch of something, and spun Tire going 60.. My rpm dropped from 5k to 3.5k for like 3 seconds then caught again and I ran somewhere near mid 16s so I didn't get the slip.

Thanks.. I just finished with my best time of 15.253, I'll upload pics tomorrow. Honestly the only complaint I had would be that I still had gravel in alot of my Tire tread, and dust was pretty much coated on my tires. Other than that, I feel like if I had clean tires and got a few more runs in, that I could hit 15.1, maybe closer to 15 flat if I put a couple more touches on it, like a tiny bit more weight reduction, cleaned my fuel injectors, fresh oil change, etc.. Just some minor tweaks and more practice.

well thats the most important thing having a great time, and well I'm sure u can hit those times, and also with more time at the track and more runs, u should be able to drop the time some more and get into ur 14.9 goal

I know I could've hit 14.999...
-Clean tires
-Fresh oil change
-Fuel injector cleaner
-Passenger seat removal
-Lower Tire pressure in the front to like 26
-coolant temp not ******* up
-2 gallons less gas in my tank, I had 3.5 after 5 hours. 1/4 gallon used per run, pulled 20.2mpg even while idling in line (:

OP I suggest popping the hood after every run and leave it open as long as you can to let the IATs drop back down to get the most timing.

I was all for getting in as many runs as possible, but the line was just SO long.. it was around 35-45 minutes, so between starting my car to move forward 20 feet, 10-12 times or so before making a run, my coolant thermostat on the DIC was able to drop from 230ish after a run down to 170-180s before I pulled to the line for the next one.
