advice on exhaust parts-header/dp question

Ok so i was trying to find if anyone has the gmpp catback with a 2.5" xtc downpipe but factory exhaust manifold. i ordered the downpipe and header, but have been questioning putting the header on. Will there be any gain at all using the 2.5" dowpipe with highflow cat bolted to the gmpp perf exhaust, but using the stock header??

I kind of want to sell the header as i am questioning putting it on if im going to keep the car for 5+ years, so is it worth putting on the dp? or should i just use the catback? anyone done this before? i may go to the gmpp manifold later on in the year aswell.

put ur ca header in you'll see more of a difference compared to stock if u decide to cell u can just put everything back to stock and sell the header but ur gonna have to cut ur stock exhaust to remove it to put ur new one on

Its not that i want to sell the car, i wanna keep it. im just kinda worried about the header causing problems down the road. i plan on keeping the car for atleast 3 more years. so i thought maybe use the dp/catback and get the gmpp mani later on. So i am curious if anyone has a dp/catback with stock header and if so why?

unless they salt your roads, you can run a dp for a million miles with no probs. quality is the only issue with tube headers. I can't speak for that brand, but my zzp lived an entire year sitting in a parked car, not even a hint of rust.

yes you will see a gain however the biggest gain would be to put all the performance parts on (OBVIOUSLY) ....putting on a header or any other simple bolt on modification will not effect the reliability of your vehicle in fact letting your engine breathe will increase its life, power, as well as economy

lam also a firm believer of doing things right or not at all.

Good Luck!

CA header here with the ZZP no cat on order, also GMPP Touring coming in, and when I put the CA header on....huge difference in the higher RPM's.
