The BS spewing out of the Kiddies in the SS Section about 240 Hp is Hilarious, This would indicate the car ia at 270 Hp approximately.
While the SS maybe higher than the Factory 205 or whatever it's no 240 Dyno or 275 Crank. I don't want to start a war, but it seems everyone likes to inflate things.
This is as bad as adding up claimed HP numbers for accesories.( as you all Know )
When I read in some of the Post the claimed, BS I wonder if you can Possible add a filter to screen out the Domestic Ricers?
I have been through all the Dyno Crap over and over again, Plese don't be ricer's
I thing the Cobalt is a good small car But Please get rid of thr Ricer Spoiler.

Visit the site more ...your post makes it sound like you think this dyno is from a 2.0 and not a 2.4 ... the 2.0 do put down more hp to the wheels than they are rated at the crank ...get over it

You're not pushing enough horsepower to see any real gains in my opinion from an exhaust header. Maybe if you had a turbo but even then the stock manifold would probably flow enough. I saw a dyno once of a Civic Si that someone installed a CAI, header, and catback on and it netted them 1 hp and 2 lb ft for $1700 worth of ****.

Will never understand why people put a 3" exhaust on a 4 cylinder engine. Even a V8 doesn't necessarily gain much from the jump to a 3" single pipe from a 2.5" single pipe.
That funny because my friend has an 94 civic si hatch with the d16 and he dyno'd his car stock, then he put an dc sports header,dc exhaust ,Removed cat (sounded like @$$!) and an aem cai and got 15bhp. Every car i have ever seen that installed an header (minus the svt focus) have showed gains large enough that made them worth buying. And btw if you where to turbo an car you couldn't use an stock manifold, so it wouldn't matter If the stock manifold was able to flow enough. And I took my cat off my 2.4 and welded an straight piece of stainless in, and dyno'd my car and I made 1bhp. So i put the cat back on because it made the exhaust sound like crap. So i would recommend not removing the cat or getting an high flow cat. And if the 4 cylinder is turbo'd it would definitely gain hp by running an 3" exhaust different cars need different exhaust because of back pressure. My best friend has an 97 240sx ka and hks hyper exhaust comes with 2.6" piping and the hks exhaust Made the most power on his car so its all about back pressure.

Corsa have shown the largest gains but i have the magnaflow and im really happy with it, so which ever you choose im sure you will be happy with. And if you had an cat back and an intake an header would definitely be an good power booster especially if you where to get an ecu tune. My header will arrive next week and i will post some before and after dyno sheets.

exhaust velocity, not back pressure. exhaust velocity is the speed the exhaust gas is travling through the pipes and out the car. More velocity, the faster it exits the car, TOO big of pipes and there's a lose in gas speed.

so then the majority of the fart cans out there , are they just a small piece you mount to stock exhaust or a whole new exhaust system. You know the ones i Mean on the shitty gutless cars that you wanna shove an apple or something in when you hear em.
