Any 2.4 guys with the JBP Vortex header?

I know this isnt the most highly regarded header out there. But any 2.4 guys have them?

Im actually tempted to pick one up. Just wondering how it would sound through a stock catback That and honestly love the way they sound. Figure it might be a bit deeper on a 2.4.

Anyone out there in 2.4 land with one?

i highly dont recommend it. Its really really expensive if you're just looking for a sound improvement.

wouldnt buy it new. But used it seems to go for similar prices to some of the ZZP's.

idk...its really just a sound mod. for the money, you can get a much better flowing header. Also (this might be a singular occurrence), my friend's JBP header warped and caused some pretty annoying exhaust leaks. He ended up putting the stocker back on

had the jbp header with a gmpp touring exhaust on my 2.4. honestly didn't even notice an improvement in performance or sound with the header. sounded throaty already with the touring exhaust.

well the gmpp is a 2.5 exhaust and so is the stock SS 2.4. And to be completely honest the collector size is a bit large for an NA 4 cylinder with bolt ons. But it still has to flow better than the Stock LE5/LSJ manifold.

heard some of that but a lot of people have had good luck with them just didnt produce huge gains. But im not looking for massive gains just a car thats more enjoyable to drive.

oh **** is it? lol well I stand corrected. Well that might be another reason why he didnt feel a big gain. Im curious how the jbp would sound through a factory downpipe on an SLP catback.

I wouldn't get the vortex header somebody just recently over on the g5.net forum tryed installing it and had all kinds of problems with clearance issues and his car is messed up now. Just go with a nice midlength header from zzp or clearimage it'll be alot easier install and you'll actually feel a hp gain as compared to the vortex header.
